Bitcoin was launched just after the 2008 in the wake of the financial banking crisis by Satoshi Nakamoto and in 2009 he published his “White Paper” for all to see and for the early visionaries to share and develop it together.
Initially people were only looking at Bitcoin the currency but the most exciting aspect of it all, is the “Blockchain”, the technology software that drives Bitcoin as it facilitates peer-to-peer deals without any intermediaries such as banks or clearing agents. The blockchain validates and keeps a permanent public record of all transactions on the public ledger, which means that your personal information is private and secure whilst all other activity is transparent and incorruptible.
Today our world is about collaboration and peer to peer which builds trust and strong communities.Remember when the internet & mobile phones arrived in the early 1990’s most were sceptical and yet today the whole world is connected and couldn’t live without these. The internet as we know it is great for communicating and collaboration but it is deeply flawed when it comes to commerce and privacy.
We are constantly innovating and with this comes disruption such as Uber & Air bnb which ultimately makes services easier, faster and cheaper but at the same time disrupting traditional work and employee models.
